Arcade And Video Games

Arcade and video games have come a very long way from what they use to be. The graphics are much more realistic today, and there are so many more games then there was. It's simply amazing how much advances have been made in technology to allow these arcade and video games to be as real as they are.

Did you know that the same technology used for arcade and video games are also used for many advanced systems used to train pilots to fly planes? Well it's true.

First I want to take a quick look back in to the time when arcade and video games were only 2d. I grew up on these games and they of course they were great for the time, they provided me with many hours of enjoyment and excitement. Arcade games like Space Invaders, Donkey Kong, and Pac Man were some of my most favorite games. Video games came out well after arcade games, and there was only one system Atari. It was amazing finally to finally have the ability to play games in the comfort of your own home, and it saved us some money. Not to say that we stopped playing arcade games all together, we just spent a little less time in the arcade.

There are many different websites online that allow you to play the arcade and video games. This is great because you can find many of the classic games that you use to love to play. Tetris has been difficult to find in stores for some reason, and then someone told me that you can find online. This game is hands down the best game ever invented. I know it doesn't have any stunning graphics, but it's challenging. No not as challenging as most of the role playing games that are out on the market for the past few years. The competition that I would have with friends trying to get the highest score is so much fun.

Arcade and video games are an excellent form of entertainment and has been for well over two decades, and there doesn't seem to be any let up of this. It only seems to get bigger and better as each year passes. And now with the virtual reality games that are offered by Wii, I am impatiently waiting for what is going to be next. I don't think that I am going to believe my eyes.
