Football Arcade Game

Arcade games are for the most part a computer wrapped up in a big fancy box with a monitor in it. But who cares what they are, all you care about is how much fun you have with them. These big boxes offer you many hours of pure fun.

Some of my favorite type of arcade games are sport games, especially a golf or football arcade game. Every year there is a new player that is extremely popular, so what do they do come out with different games for them.

There are a few different football arcade games that are out there. I will never forget when John Elway's Team Quarterback first came out. This was the best game for many reasons. First because the graphics were pretty damn good and second was because you were able to select from a list of college teams and pro teams. I don't remember how many different cities there were to choose from but I know I remember thinking that it was the greatest thing ever. There were so many different things that you can do in this game. It was amazing that you were able to select the teams colors, as a kid who played many arcade games this was great. You never had choices like that.

There are now so many different football arcade games to choose from. It's not like back then when you had first All American Football, and then John Elway's Team Quarterback. There might have been a few others in between, but obviously they were not anything special if I can't remember.

Now a days most of the sport arcade games are in local sports bars and pubs. This is because the people that go to them, are from the arcade generation, and still love to spend an hour or so playing an arcade game. There is a big difference from now to back then, the graphics are simply amazing. You can almost feel like you are out on that football field and running down the field. The aiming, kicking and passing is so much easier to control then it use to be. So everything is almost pinpoint accurate which makes the game much more exciting and the fact that you don't only have to play against the computer. There are now 4 player football arcade games. You use to only be able to play on your own, which was not fun for very long for the people waiting to get on.

Wow how things have changed.
